ProVision provides our film and video customers with leading edge solutions, exceptional support and personalized service. The partners have over 30 years of combined professional knowledge and experience in the video production industry. ProVision is a solution's-based company that prides itself on its ability to build strong working relationships with its clients. With innovative state-of-the-art technology, our vision is to ensure our customers have affordable products, resulting in the best productions possible, in today’s changing and competitive market place.

 

WE LOOK AFTER OUR CUSTOMERS
We value our customers and make sure they get the right tools. We also provide free after-hours support for all of our Sales and Rental customers. ProVision's Showroom is a comfortable, friendly environment in which to select and get a hands-on feel when purchasing and Rental of equipment and accessories. We strive to educate our customers on the various options, peripherals and techniques so they can make the right choice.

 

Thinking Green
We think that the Environment is important and to us, Although we cant get rid of all plastics we work with our suppliers to ensure we receive only Recycled environmentally friendly packing materials. All waste paper products cups, cardboard paper packaging and shredded documents are sent to a local recycling facility. Our Heating and AC is computerized to increase efficiency and dual monitor systems are implemented to reduce printing requirements. WE also use recycled toner drums for our printers and make sure our printing paper contains recycled materials. File folders as well are made of recycled materials

Stephen M.
Graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the History of Art in 1980. He went in to the Retail Sales of Electronic Audio and Video equipment and then went back to College to complete a two Diploma Program in Business Management, Marketing Management. Immediately after graduation Stephen joined Sony Office Systems, a Sony of Canada Ltd. Enterprise and then he joined Matrix Professional Video Systems Inc. where he worked as a sales representative for 15 years. Then he became the Manager of the Matrix Pro Shop and helped launch this new venture for Matrix for one year giving him 16 years at Matrix. The next step in his career advancement is to start his own business in the field that he is most familiar with—the video industry.

Steven F.
After completing Seneca College Underwater Skills Diploma Program in 1978, specializing in Electronics, Non-Destructive Testing, and Photography, Steven went on to work in the underwater industry for 24 years. Starting with Can-Dive Services, Toronto in 1979, he specialized in underwater television inspections and photography. In 1981 an internal promotion with the company, which changed its name to OceanWorks Int’l, moved him westward to Vancouver to work with the Oceanographic Survey Division. His portfolio expanded to include work as the company's Submersible Pilot, Remote Operated Vehicle operator, Training Instructor, and Technical Services Manager, and led to assignments all over the world including highly specialized product training and customer service with and for the US Navy, Italian Navy, UK Ministry of Defense, Japanese MOD, and Russian Navy.

Steven has an extensive background working in the North Sea and High Arctic. His work has encompassed designing and implementing life-support systems, video overlay systems, and specialized mechanical and computer controls. He was responsible for writing technical manuals for a variety of underwater systems and IT support for the company. His graphics skills include logo design, marketing materials, and training illustrations. He gained unique specialized equipment knowledge for new and unproven scenarios utilizing underwater cameras and lighting for inspections. Steven has trained a broad range of professionals including Canadian astronauts Dave Williams and Julie Payette. Projects include working on and consulting for underwater films, such as Danger Bay, The Abyss, Dark Angel, Stargate, and various underwater Imax and HDTV Projects. Offshore projects involved working with NOAA scientists and National Geographic utilizing submarine mounted SIT and HDTV cameras as well as some of the first broadcast video cameras packaged for harsh environments.
